Specifying Fonts for the Web
Summary: Is your worksheet information destined for a Web page? Here's how you can specify the fonts that should be used when Excel generates the HTML code for those Web pages.Microsoft provides an easy way for you to have your Excel data available on the Web. You do this by saving your worksheet data in a Web-page format. You can specify which fonts you want Excel to use when it creates Web pages from the information in a workbook. You can set the default fonts that Excel uses by following these steps:
- Click the Office button and then click Excel Options. Excel displays the Excel Options dialog box.
- At the left side of the dialog box click Advanced.
- Scroll through the available options until you see the General section. (Click here to see a related figure.)
- Click on the Web Options button. Excel displays the Web Options dialog box.
- Make sure the Fonts tab is selected. (Click here to see a related figure.)
- Using the Proportional Font drop-down list, select the font you want used as a default for your Web pages.
- Using the Fixed-width Font drop-down list, select the font you want used when displaying monospace information on your Web pages.
- Using the Size controls, specify the respective default sizes for the fonts.
- Click on OK to close the Web Options dialog box.
- Click on OK to close the Excel Options dialog box.
